Rizwan Wasti Actor Pictures Interview Biography

Syed Rizwan Wasti (1937–2011), was a famous Pakistani television and film actor and presenter. He was husband of famous TV artist Tahira Wasti and father of TV actress Laila Wasti.

Rizwan Wasti was born in Lahore in 1937. He lent his baritone voice to a variety of radio programmes and acted in several plays on PTV in the `60s, `70s and `80s, but it was his performance in the drama serial Shama. Apart from many long plays and drama series, his acting skills in Aagahi, Uroosa and Abgeene were received with critical acclaim. He was also a banker.

He died after a prolonged illness on January 25, 2011 in Karachi. He was 74 years old. He is survived by his wife Tahira Wasti, herself an actress of repute, two sons and a daughter, Laila Wasti, also a known showbiz personality.
