Asif Jah was third top comedian after Nazar and Zarif. He was director of film Sheikh Chilli in 1958 and played the title role in this film. He also played title role in film Chodhary. He wrote few songs and Sun mere Kukku, sun mere Pappu... was one of famous song (sung by Rangeela in film Do Rangeelay, 1972).
Other films: Dilbar (1951), Harjai (1952), Sarfarosh, Chann Mahi, Baap ka gunah (1956), Sardar, Saat lakh, Zulfaan and Pasban (1957), Son of Ali Baba (1961), Choudhery, Sooraj Mukhi and Mahboob (1962), Ik Pardesi Ik Mutiyar and Landa Bbazar (1964), Had haram (1965), Majhey di Jatti (1966), Lut da maal and Mirza Jatt (1967), Choda saal (1968), Langotia and Nikke hundian da pyar (1969), Khushia (1973) and Ghairat dee moat (1979). He died on September 7, 1994 at Lahore.
