First film: Chaudhari (Punjabi - 1962)
Although Naghma was seen on silver screen in film Rani Khan in 1960 but Choudhary was her first film as heroine. Before this film She had worked in many films as extra like Baraat (Neelo-Ratran Kumar), Jamalo (Meena Shori-Asad Bukhari), Sumeera (Zeba-Ratan Kumar) and Zareena (Husna-Habib), but it's interesting that mostly all her films released after Choudhery. She never became a top class heroine in Urdu films and almost played b-roles in films like Mehtab, Maa ke Aansoo and Khandan. But she was a dominating Punjabi film heroine from the mid 60s to the first half af the 70s. She was side heroine in Daachi and got breakthrough in film Hath Jori same year.
