Muzammil Ibrahim (Kashmiri: मुज़मिल इब्राहीम (Devanagari), مزمل ابراہیم (Nastaleeq)) (born 25 August 1984) is an Indian model, originally from state of Jammu & Kashmir. He won the Gladrags Manhunt Contest in 2003. He also won the Rashtrapati Award for bravery (1994) (Hindi: Jeevan Raksha Padak) for saving a boy from drowning in 1992.
Career
Modelling
He has done more than 20 modelling campaigns and is a brand ambassador for at least 5 companies. He has also done many international campaigns and is a popular model in Bangkok.He has featured in advertisements of brands such like Mistair(siyaram's), Real fruit juice,bolero car,Maruti Suzuki Swift,hero honda bike,hide and seek biscuits,vivel shampoo with amrita rao,titan watches,onida dvd(his 1st commercial). He also modelled for the "GUESS" company in Italy for 2 years.He was awarded The Best Male Model by Times of India and The Hindustan Times for three years in a row in 2004/05/06.
Acting
Muzamil did famous music videos like Kabhi Aisa Lagta Hai for Lucky Ali, and Pardesiya, which got him noticed with Rakhi Sawant. He made his début into Bollywood with the movie titled Dhoka directed by Pooja Bhatt, written by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. He played a double role in his second film Horn Ok Pleassss with nana patekar and rimi sen,which hasn't got released yet due to production issues. He was nominated for "Best Newcomer" for his role in Dhokha at both the Filmfare awards, Star TV awards and the Stardust awards. His third film "will you marry me" will be released in 2011, it has shreyas talpade, rajeev khandelwal and mugda godse in it. It is directed by aditya dutt, who is famous for his music sense and has given hits like "aashiq banaya aapney" in the past. |
