Pravesh Rana (Hindi: प्रवेश राणा; born in India) is a male model and Mr. India 2008, and a reality TV show personaility. In 2009, he participated as a wild card entry in the reality TV series, Bigg Boss.
Early life
Pravesh Rana was born in a Hindu Jaat family.He was born in village Nirpuda near DAHA Of district Baghpat (UP). His father is a police inspector. His schooling was done in various cities of uttar pradesh. He completed his BA(h) economics from Ramjas College Delhi University.
Career
Rana is a former quality advisor for IBM-Daksh. He was a sales cheetah for Sprint Long Distance & Sprint Complete Sense. His penchant for mimicry has garnered work for Rana as an anchor in stage shows has done more than 450 shows in whole of India and overseas. He won the Haywards 5000 Mr. India contest at a ceremony at Hotel Intercontinental Mumbai, Rana has worked for television channels like Zoom and STAR One as an anchor.His most visible achievement is getting into Bigboss 3 as non-celebrity participant.Pravesh has been walking the ramp for all the top designers of India like Rohit Bal, Manish Malhotra,Varun Behal, Vikram Phadnis, Rocky S, Manish Gupta etc. and has been the face of all the major fashion weeks in India like Lakme Fashion Week, Wills India fashion week, Men's Fashion week, Couture fashion Week.
Bigg Boss 3 entry
Rana is the 14th person to enter the Bigg Boss House in Big Boss 3. There was an audition held in three cities in India for the Bigg Boss and Rana won the audition at Delhi. He entered the house on the 33rd day and was runner-up in the finals.He was awarded for this performance and was given a chance to host a popular reality TV show.He is now heading towards bollywood.
Pravesh Rana was an episode winner of "National bingo night" on colors channel hosted by Abhishek Bachchan. Pravesh will be seen hosting a dance reality show on the same channel from April onwards called "Chak Dhoom Dhoom". Currently he is seen as host of a reality show for UTV Bindas called "Emotional Atyachar" and "Love Lockup". |
